Dimapur, June 20 (EMN): Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees Association (CANSSEA) has conducted a capacity building programme for its members on the National Pension Scheme (NPS) with resource persons from the directorate of Treasuries and Accounts in its conference hall in Kohima on June 17.

An update from the association stated that the joint director of T&A department, Amenla Jamir, had presented the facts and figures of NPS and its status in the state. She also informed that there are 30,408 employees with permanent retirement account number (NPS) under the state government. She informed that the delay in paying the employees' contribution to the NPS account posed a big challenge to all the departments.

The nodal officers and dealing assistants of NPS from various directorates had an interactive session with the officials of the T&A department. Numerous issues relating to NPS were clarified and the house expressed the need to bring in more innovative steps to solve the problems, the statement read.
