Dimapur, Aug. 10 (EMN): Nagaland unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised a training-cum-workshop of the district health volunteers on Tuesday at Hotel Silhouette, Dimapur.
Through a video conferencing, the national president SC Morcha, Lal Singhji Arya, encouraged the party members to work hard despite the difficult situation. He stated that the party believes in serving people through governance as well as sangathan. He informed that four lakh health volunteers would be part of the mission, adding that 1.5 lakh members have already registered through online.
With a target of more than 5000 volunteers in Nagaland, he asked the members to try to achieve even more. He also said that the volunteers need to be trained at four stages- national, state, district and mandals.
As scientists could make vaccines in 10 months under Modi’s leadership during the pandemic, he stated that the BJP Karakartas did so much for the people. Since the 3rd wave was expected, he urged upon the volunteers to be prepared going from village to village to create awareness.
State BJP general secretary, Khevishe Sema, while sharing about the objective of the campaign informed that it was meant for the well being of mankind. He urged the members to be prepared mentally and physically in the event of Covid-19 3rd wave. He asked the volunteers to create awareness to the villagers and educate them about the Covid-19 pandemic.
He also encouraged the volunteers to get vaccinated against the pandemic and at the same time encouraged others to do the same. He added that most of the Covid-19 deaths in the state were those who have not received the vaccination.
During the workshop, Dr. Nitin Aggarwal and Orantsani Kikon also shared on the importance of immune boosting against Covid-19 and importance of yoga to fight Covid-19 respectively.
