
Dimapur, March 12 (EMN): As part of its outreach programme aimed at reaching out to those in need, the ST Morcha of BJP Mokokchung district visited the Soul Care, a children’s home at Chami village in Mokokchung district, on March 12 and donated provisions to the boarders.
The Soul Care, which is home to 18 children from the age group between 5 to 14 years, is run by the Soul Care Society, an update from media and IT Cell of BJP Mokokchung stated.
The convener of outreach programme, Lanuchiba, who is also the vice president of BJP Mokokchung ST Morcha, stated that the outreach programme was initiated to realise the visions of the party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of reaching out to the least privileged section in the society with messages of hope and love. He added that the ST Morcha of BJP Mokokchung aptly chose the theme ‘Children – our hope’ so as to spread the message that every child, wherever he or she might be, is the greatest treasure of the nation and every child deserves love.
The district ST Morcha president, Oyimpong Longchar, stated that the outreach programme was a sole initiative of the ST Morcha of BJP Mokokchung. He has appreciated the Soul Care Society for taking the responsibility of looking after the children and asserted that their mission in bringing up the destitute children is a great service to the nation.
Oyimpong also appreciated the BJP state president, Imna Along Longkumer, and the state ST Morcha president, Awan Konyak, for their constant inspirations to vigorously carry out the BJP’s programmes and policies to every section of the society.
Meanwhile, the director of Soul Care Society, pastor Alem Aier, has appreciated the visiting ST Morcha team and accepted the donated provisions. He stated that the noble gesture of the BJP has touched the hearts of the children’s home.
