Dimapur, Aug. 22 (EMN): Extending solidarity with the affected people of Kerala who are going through their worst flood situation in the last 100 years, a state BJP delegation led by Nagaland Dy. Chief Minister, Y. Patton accompanied by two state BJP legislators landed at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on Aug. 22 and offered condolences to the affected families and also financial assistance towards the flood relief.
A press release issued by the media cell BJP Nagaland informed that Patton, on arrival at Kerala, visited the BJP Kerala party state office and met with the party officials. Patton was accompanied by Nagaland BJP legislators -- V. Kashiho Sangtam, Minister for Soil and Water conservation , Woman and child development; and Dr Longriniken, Advisor for Law and Justice, Border Affairs, and Treasuries and Accounts.
The release stated that the state BJP delegation was warmly received by the BJP Kerala added that the delegation would be officially meeting their counterparts on Thur. Aug. 23. The release stated that Patton, speaking on behalf of the government of Nagaland and also on behalf of the BJP Nagaland, expressed his deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the catastrophe.
The Nagaland BJP delegation also met with the Kerela Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wed. evening.
“The BJP delegation from Nagaland was warmly received by the BJP Kerala and the delegation will be officially meeting their counter parts tomorrow (Aug. 23),” the BJP Nagaland media cell stated.
