Nagaland’s SFS Higher Secondary School team defeated Navodaya Vidyalaya Sangathan 1–0 in the Sub Junior Boys Subroto Cup, with Seisanglu scoring the decisive goal in Bengaluru.

KOHIMA — SFS Hr. Sec. School, representing the state of Nagaland at the 64th edition of the Subroto Cup Sub Junior Boys (U-15), on Thursday won the first match by defeating Navodaya Vidyalaya Sangathan (NVS).
The tournament is underway in Bengaluru, wherein Nagaland beat its counterpart with a narrow 1-0 margin. The lone and decisive goal of the match was scored by Seisanglu.

According to an update, a total of 19 teams have been disqualified after failing the TW3 (bone age) test.
Nagaland is the only state from the Northeast which has cleared the medical test and remains in the tournament. Team Nagaland will play its next match on September 6 against West Bengal at 3 pm.
