The Nagaland Basketball Association announces U-19 men state trials in Medziphema for the upcoming North East Elite Basketball League.

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Basketball Association (NBA) has announced the Nagaland state trials for the upcoming North East Elite Basketball League (U-19 Men) season.
According to an update, the league is a premier initiative jointly organised by ABC Basketball Development League Pvt. Ltd., ACG, and the state basketball associations of the Northeast.
The Nagaland trials will be held at the Indoor Stadium in Medziphema at 1 pm on May 9. All eligible players born on or after January 1, 2007, are invited to participate. Players must bring their original Aadhar card and birth certificate for verification.
Players must be permanent residents of Nagaland and should be above 15 years of age. From these trials, 15 players will be shortlisted to represent Nagaland in the final selection process in Aizawl, Mizoram.

Selected players will be provided free accommodation, food, and hospitality during the trials in Aizawl. Travel reimbursement will be provided as per the 3 AC train fare policy. The draft ceremony in Aizawl on May 20 will officially assign players to 10 franchise teams, marking the beginning of their journey in the North East Elite Basketball League.
The official selection trials in Aizawl will take place on May 18 and 19. Players will report for the team camp on June 19, and the league will run from June 22 to July 2.

It is designed to elevate grassroots basketball in the Northeast, and we are committed to ensuring Nagaland’s brightest players seize this chance to shine,” stated Sentiningsang Longkumer, Honorary Secretary of the Nagaland Basketball Association.
