
The men's and women's teams for the inaugural U-23 National

- DIMAPUR — The
Nagaland Basketball Association (NBA) announced the teams for the inaugural
U-23 National Basketball Championship, which is set to take place from March 18
to the 24th in Guwahati, on Saturday.
- An update from the NBA stated that the championship, to be
held at the Karmabir Nabin Chandra Bordoloi AC Indoor Stadium, Sarusajai Sports
Complex, Guwahati, will showcase the talent of young athletes from across the
nation.
- The men's team for the championship includes Petekhrietuo
Solo, Mesalie Yhoshu, Shanchothung L Jungio, Khrienyutsu Kire, Petekhrielie
Solo, Benhilo Lorin (vice-captain), Rahul Leonard Hans, Anglang Ato,
Dziezetseizo Neihu, Thejavor Rutsa, Limasungba Jamir, and Neisezo Theunuo
(captain). The team will be coached by Chumbenthung Humtsoe, with Rilise
Thonger serving as the assistant coach and Temsu Longkumer as the manager.
- The women's team for the championship includes Sungjemmenla
Jamir, Diezelhounuo Meru, Rütuonuo Janice (captain), Calista Tungo
(vice-captain), Leah Ozukum, Vihzhono Za-O, Nisino Nakhro, Vizolenuo Duolo,
Achumbeni Ngullie, Naglem Konyak, Imtisangla Kangshou, and Lika Aye. The team
will be coached by Keneselie Belho, with Sentitoshi Jamir as the assistant
coach and Pelekhonuo Kuotsu serving as the manager.
- Both teams trained in a short preparatory camp at the
Basketball Court, Mission Compound, Kohima, and Tetso College, Sovima, under
the supervision of the coaches and managers.
