Dimapur, June 20: Nagaland Badminton Association (NBA) has informed all the District Badminton Associations including the Nagaland Police that the 40th Inter District & State Open Badminton Championship 2016 (Phase 1- Team Championship & Open categories for Senior & Junior) which was slated to be held at Jalukie in July has been postponed August 24 to 25 due to unavoidable circumstances. Instead, Phase 2 – Open championship (U-13, U-15, U-17 & Veterans) would now be held at Kohima from July 27 to 29 according to a press release from the association.
Mixed double would be introduced in all the categories in trend with the national formats.A player would be allowed to participate in only 3 events in the open categories including mixed double.
