DIMAPUR — Friends and fellow musicians from Nagaland have released a tribute song titled “Yaara Mere Yaar” in memory of Prashant Tamang, winner of Indian Idol Season 3.
The song was released on the YouTube channel on August 4.
The track is a heartfelt tribute that revisits the fond memories shared between Tamang and his friends in Nagaland. Each line of the song reflects the grief and sadness following his sudden demise, while also celebrating the bond they shared with him. His unexpected passing has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Once celebrated and supported by the entire nation during his Indian Idol journey, Tamang is remembered as a humble artiste who touched many lives. “His brief time in Nagaland brought us even closer. He was a true example of a brother, a mentor and a friend” the artistes said in a statement. “Though he has departed for his heavenly abode, his legacy, his music, and his friendship will remain with us forever”.
Yaara Mere Yaar was written by Hentick Konyak, composed, arranged and mastered by Akun Konyak. It was recorded at Audio Craft Studio, Dimapur and produced by Pijus Barua and videography & edit by Charles Crezen of Visual Notes Entertainment.
