KOHIMA — Athletes from Nagaland bagged six medals at the National Arm Wrestling & Para Arm Wrestling Championship 2025 held at VKN Menon Indoor Stadium in Thrissur, Kerala, from June 28 to July 2.
Representing the state under the banner of Naga Armbenders Kohima, the six-member team delivered an impressive performance at the national event organised by the Kerala Arm Wrestling Association under the aegis of the People's Arm Wrestling Federation India (PAFI), which is affiliated with both the Asian and World Arm Wrestling Federations.
The team comprised Vethozo Lohe, Avilie Zuyie, Inamul Borah, Abhishek Pradhan, Aryan Borah, and Dzüziengulie Rame.

National arm wrestling gold medallist Avilie Zuyie clinched a gold medal in the Youth 100kg Right Arm category and a silver in the Youth 100kg Left Arm category.
Former world and national champion Vethozo Lohe secured three medals—silver in Senior 80kg Right Arm, silver in Youth 80kg Left Arm, and bronze in Youth 80kg Right Arm.
Inamul Borah added to the tally with a bronze medal in the Masters 80kg Right Arm category, while Abhishek Pradhan and Aryan Borah narrowly missed podium finishes, placing fourth in their respective events.
