DIMAPUR — The Regional Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Assam, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India with support from the Department of Employment, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, Government of Nagaland, is organising the state-level apprenticeship awareness workshop on June 20 at Capital Convention Center, Kohima.
The workshop will be graced by Advisor for Labour and Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Excise, Moatoshi Longkumer, as the guest of honour, a DIPR report stated.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]The objective of the workshop is to improve the participation of all stakeholders in the apprenticeship ecosystem and promote apprenticeship training in the state.
By bringing together industry leaders, academia, schools, and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), the workshop aims to facilitate extensive discussions and collaborations toward advancing apprenticeship training.
The technical session of the workshop will primarily focus on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) and its reforms.
Participants will have the opportunity to gain insights into the latest developments, understand the benefits and challenges of the scheme, and discover effective strategies for successful implementation.
Additionally, there will be an apprenticeship portal walkthrough session to provide practical guidance on utilising the online platform efficiently. Participants will gain valuable insights into the apprenticeship ecosystem, emerging trends, and best practices, further fostering collaborations and partnerships for the betterment of the workforce, it stated.
