Mokokchung, Sep. 7 (EMN): The Mokokchung superintendent of police, KM Aotula T Imchen, inaugurated a “Reference and Reading Room” at the office of the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) in Mokokchung town on September 7.
The project was an initiation of AKM with an objective to provide reference books and reading room for all aspirants of civil services and other academic examinations in their preparation for upcoming examination, informed AKM president, Nungdokyanger Pongener.
“There are many young aspirants, who do not have access to materials and books to prepare for competitive examinations. I believed that through this project, many aspirants would be benefited in their exam preparation,” said Imchen in her speech.
Describing the “Reference and Reading Room” as one major step towards fulfilling the aspiration of upcoming generation, she urged the AKM to transform the project into a reliable community trust project.
“This project should be a door that is always open for all,” she asserted.
The project was partially funded by Shah Sponge & Iron Limited and MKS Construction based in Odisha along with contribution from SP of Mokokchung and well-wishers. Competitive examinations materials, e-journal and books for UPSC, CDS, GATE, NET, NPSC, assistant commandant exam, banking and other exams are available in the “Reference and Reading Room” along with internet connection.
Registration is free and interested persons could contact the AKM office for registration during office hours. The “Reference and Reading Room” would be opened from 9 am to 8 pm daily.
