Mokokchung, Sep. 16 (EMN): The 17th Late Imtitemjen Memorial Table Tennis Tournament organised by Mokokchung District Table Tennis Association (MDTTA) concluded at Multi Sports Complex, Mokokchung on September 16 evening.
In the men’s singles, Imsutongzuk defeated Lipoktoshi Longkumer to clinch the title, while in the men's doubles, Chubatongzuk Pongen and Lipoktoshi Longkumer beat Imsutongzuk and Wapangtoshi R Jamir in the final.
Earlier, EAC Mokokchung, Zerutso Kesiezie, was the special guest of the programme. He said that table tennis is an international and popular sport and expressed hope that such initiation from the MDTTA would promote young talents in the district.
MDTTA president Ali Walling also spoke at the event.
Altogether 30 players participated in the tourney.
