DIMAPUR — A
20-year-old Naga youth, identified as Nagato, died by suicide in Trivandrum on
December 20. Nagato reportedly worked as a waiter at a restaurant.
His body is currently kept at a government hospital in
Trivandrum, where a post-mortem examination would be conducted. The body would
be repatriated to Nagaland, according to Moe Konyak, statistical secretary,
Society for Naga Students’ Welfare, Kerala (SNSWK).
However, SNSWK is facing financial constraints as their
funds have been depleted due to previous repatriation efforts for three other
Naga individuals, who died in Kerala this year, Konyak informed.
To cover the costs of Nagato’s repatriation, SNSWK has
initiated crowd-funding. Donations could be made via GPay to the number
7085462525 or by contacting SNSWK members, he added.
