Dimapur, Oct. 15 (EMN): The organisers of the ‘Naga wrestling’ has issued details of schedule, registration terms and associated particulars in the run up to an event, the Naga WrestleMania 6 (King of the Ring Series) that is scheduled to be held from Oct. 26 to the 27th.
The organisers issued a press release on Sunday stating the details.
The Naga WrestleMania is stated to be part of a combat sports festival scheduled for Oct. 26-27 at the Kohima Local Ground Khuochiezie.
The event will feature two senior categories (lightweight 74 kg and under and heavyweight over 74 kg; one junior category (14 years and under).
The other feature of the festival is the Yoddha Fighting Championship, stated to be mixed martial arts ‘promotional event’ scheduled for Oct. 28.
YoddhaFC will showcase among 6-10 fights, some of which will be amateur title fights while a few will be professional events.
The following terms have been stipulated: Registration for Naga WrestleMania 6 has been extended to heavyweights (over 74 kg) and juniors (14 years and under) till Oct. 21; registration is closed for lightweight category w.e.f. Oct. 14 and will not be extended.
The final weight measurement for lightweight and the heavyweight divisions and the scrutiny for juniors will be done on Oct. 23 and the 24th.
All registered wrestlers must be present for the event at the 3E office in Kohima between 10:00 am and 4 pm.

Runners-up – Rs. 30, 000
Semi-finalists – Rs. 10, 000 each
Junior category
Champion – Rs. 10, 000 + belt
Runners-up – Rs. 5, 000
Semi-finalists – Rs. 2, 000 each
King of the Ring championship
Champion – Rs. 12, 0000 + belt
Runners-up – Rs. 60, 000
Semi-finalists – Rs. 30, 000 each
Donor ticket-holders are informed that validity of three days includes the Naga WrestleMania and YoddhaFC.
