Naga Women Hoho Dimapur organised a seminar on women’s physical health and mental well-being, focusing on midlife care, anxiety, depression and timely support.

DIMAPUR — The Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) organised a seminar on “Women’s Health and Mental Well-being” at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur, on Saturday to raise awareness about women’s physical health, wellness and mental well-being.
According to a press release, the seminar featured two sessions focusing on key health concerns affecting women.
The first session, titled “Life after 40: Four Pillars of Midlife Care,” was conducted by Dr Emmanuel L Yanthan, consultant gynaecologist at Evita GyneCare Clinic.
He spoke on physical and hormonal changes during midlife, emphasising the importance of healthy lifestyle choices and regular health check-ups.
The second session, “Anxiety and Depression in Women: Recognition & Support,” was led by Lovitoli Awomi, counselling psychologist and founder of Lapiye Centre for Mental Well-Being. The session focused on recognising the signs of anxiety and depression and highlighted the importance of seeking timely emotional and professional support.
The seminar provided participants with practical knowledge and an opportunity to engage in discussions on issues related to women’s physical and mental health.
The NWHD expressed gratitude to the Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur, and the Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Dimapur, as well as Dr Emmanuel L Yanthan, for their contribution of medicines and first-aid support for the participants.
The hoho also thanked Niholu Ayemi, OSD, Transport, Government of Nagaland, for his contribution and support towards the successful conduct of the seminar.
The NWHD further expressed appreciation to both resource persons and all participants for their valuable contributions and active participation in making the seminar meaningful and successful.
