Naga tribes call for spirit of oneness in ‘Public declaration’
Representatives of various Naga tribes, under the aegis of the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR), on Tuesday came together to express in one accord the urgent necessity for all Naga political groups (NPGs) to “come together in unity and cooperation.”

- DIMAPUR — Representatives
of various Naga tribes, under the aegis of the Forum for Naga Reconciliation
(FNR), on Tuesday came together to express in one accord the urgent necessity
for all Naga political groups (NPGs) to “come together in unity and
cooperation.”
- In a ‘Public declaration,’ representative of the Naga tribes
recognised and appreciated the constructive steps taken through the ‘January
14, 2025 Treatise,” the FNR informed in a press release.
- In cognisance of the significant breakthrough (Treatise),
the representatives resolved that the NPGs must listen to the voice of the
people and, without exception, make all efforts to ensure Naga unity in the
spirit of oneness.
- To representatives also agreed that to actualise Naga unity
and reconciliation, the January 14, 2025 Treatise must be implemented with
immediate effect.
- Urging all the NPGs and Naga people to be part of the
Council of Naga Cooperation and Relationship, the meeting also resolved that
the Naga public will “hold to account any Naga Political Group and civil
society organisation responsible for its failure.”
- Further, the declaration called for conscious harnessing and
consolidation of Naga solidarity by fostering kindred spirit without borders
towards the fulfilment of Naga aspirations.
- Among others, the meeting was attended by representatives
from the , Rengma Hoho, Pochury Hoho, Sümi Hoho,
Phom People’s Council, Tikhir Tribal Council, Chang Union Dimapur, Chang Khulei
Setshang, Mao Council, Angami Public Organisation, ASTD, Ao Senden, and Tangkhul
Naga Long.
