Dimapur, Oct. 3 (EMN): The 5th annual sports meet of Naga Students' Union Phagwara (NSUP) was held from Sep. 29 till Oct. 2 at Hadaspur ground, LPU, and International Football Stadium in Phagwara.
According to an update received here on Wednesday, the event witnessed active participation and enthusiasm from the members which made the small union very lively. The union was hopeful that the same momentum will be maintained in the upcoming North East Students' Organisation (NESO) sports meet.
The event concluded with a football exhibition match between Nagas at Phagwara and Law Gate cum hostellers. Teams Dzukou, Dikhu, and Japfu bagged the champion, first runners-up, and second runners-up respectively. The best sportspersons were awarded to Atoito Yepthomi (man) and Tovikali Chophy (woman). President, International Football Association Phagwara Jaspal Singh and his colleagues were present to hand over the trophies on the final day.
