DIMAPUR — The Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB) held its Sports Meet 2025 on October 31 and November 1 at Don Bosco College, TC Palya, KR Puram, bringing together students, working professionals, and families from various Naga sub-units and tribal unions for two days of sports and community gathering.


A press release received here on Thursday stated that NSUB President Eli Nungsangmongla Ozukum delivered greetings, followed by addresses from Rajesh A. M., Joint Resident Commissioner, Government of Manipur, and Tesongty Hopson Monsang, Chief Office Superintendent with the South Western Railways.


The oath-taking was administered by NSUB sports secretary Shepou L, after which the sports meet was declared open by Fr. Geo Kalladanthiyil, Principal of Don Bosco College.


Competitions were held across a range of indoor and outdoor disciplines, including football, basketball, volleyball, penalty shootout for women, chess, carrom, track and field, tug of war, push-ups, shot put, and the pork fat eating contest, a long-running crowd favourite.


Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me Bangalore (PNTMB) emerged as Overall Champion, while Tangkhul Naga Welfare Society Bengaluru (TNWSB) finished Runner-Up. Mao Students’ Union Bangalore (MSUB) received the Best Disciplined Team award. PNTMB also secured the Best Attendance recognition.


The event was supported by Zingron Restaurant as sponsor and Seven Sisters Pitstop as co-sponsor. Bangalore Baptist Hospital and Sakra World Hospital partnered as healthcare supporters, with Melita Luxury Skincare as SPF partner, alongside contributions from individual donors.


NSUB President Ozukum expressed appreciation to all partners and individuals who contributed to the successful conduct of the annual sports meet.
