Naga Students’ Federation to observe Martyrs’ Day

honour the supreme sacrifices of Kekuojalie Sachü of Kohima village and Vikhozo
Yhoshü of Kigwema village, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) will observe the
39th Martyrs’ Day on March 20 at NSF Martyrs’ Park in Kohima at 9 am.
- It has extended invitation to all students, youth leaders,
well-wishers and media fraternity to join in paying homage to their fallen
comrades. It stated that their sacrifice continues to inspire generations in
their collective pursuit of justice, peace and the rights of the Naga people.
- NSF called upon all its federating units and subordinate
bodies to fly their respective flags at half-mast as a mark of respect.
Further, it urgeed all schools across the Naga homeland to observe a one-minute
silence in memory of the martyrs on March 20.
- It mentioned that this year’s observance also marks a
significant milestone—the 25th anniversary edition of the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial
Trophy, a tournament that has stood as a symbol of resilience and unity among
the Naga youth in the pursuit of peace through sports.
- It informed that the official trophy for the landmark
edition would be unveiled and launched for touring across the Naga homeland
during the event. It further reaffirmed its commitment to justice and peace.
