Naga Students’ Federation will conduct physical verification of NEET-qualified candidates for Nagaland State Quota seats at its Kohima office on August 25- 26
DIMAPUR — The Naga Students' Federation (NSF) has announced that physical verification of documents for candidates who have qualified through NEET for various professional courses under the Nagaland state quota will be conducted at the NSF Office, Kohima, on August 25 and the 26th.
In a press release, the federation informed that the verification exercise will be overseen by the NSF Education Committee to ensure a fair and transparent process.
All selected candidates are required to appear in person for the verification, accompanied by their parents or guardians. Candidates have been asked to bring the following original documents: recent passport-sized photograph. NEET admit card and score card, HSLC and HSSLC admit cards, Scheduled Tribe certificate, and indigenous inhabitant certificate.
The NSF reiterated that only candidates who are Nagas by blood and indigenous to the state of Nagaland are eligible to claim seats allotted under the Nagaland state quota.
The federation said it had observed instances of non-indigenous applicants attempting to avail themselves of seats under the state quota and asserted that such practices would not be entertained.
Candidates who fail to complete the document verification within the stipulated dates will be deemed ineligible for allotment under the state quota, the NSF stated.
It also cautioned that appropriate action would be initiated against candidates found to have submitted misleading or fraudulent documents.
The NSF further reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the rights and interests of the Naga students’ community and ensuring that opportunities meant for indigenous people of Nagaland are not compromised.
