DIMAPUR — The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has expressed grief over the demise of Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Thinoselie M Keyho, veteran Naga national leader and former president of the Naga National Council (NNC), who passed away at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima on Friday morning.
In a condolence message, the NSF described Keyho’s demise as “the end of an era,” stating that his passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the Naga national movement and the collective memory of the people’s freedom struggle.
The federation said Keyho’s legacy extended beyond his leadership of the NNC, noting that his life and political convictions had served as an inspiration for generations of Naga youths.
“His life and leadership have served as a reminder of the importance of historical consciousness, political conviction and the responsibility of carrying forward the aspirations of a people,” the NSF stated.

Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, relatives, friends and comrades, the NSF said it shared their grief during this hour of profound loss.
The federation also prayed for strength and courage for the bereaved family to endure the irreparable loss, while expressing hope that Keyho’s memories and contributions would bring them solace.
“The contribution of such a tall and towering freedom fighter will never be forgotten and will remain etched in the annals of history and in the grateful hearts of the Naga people,” the NSF stated.
