Dimapur, Dec 11: Nagaland made its mark in the map of Marian Congregation of the Houses of Charity with the induction of Rev. Sr. Rose Hesuh (Krosalü) and Esther Dukru (Savirhü). The sacred ceremony was held at St. Joseph’s Church, Porba, on December 10. Bishop cited Pope Francis who once said, ‘True joy is born not from our possession but from our self donation. To understand and to live, this is the secret of our joy. To become priests, religious is not primarily our choice for self gain. It is a choice of God to which one says, Yes, Lord your servant is listening or like Mary, “I am the handmaid of the Lord, be it done to me according to your word.” In the sacred function of final professions, candidates were examined on their readiness, willingness and freedom followed by total surrender signified by prostration on the ground, during which the litany of saints was sung imploring the intercession of all the angels and saints to come to the aid of the weak human being who made their final commitment with the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. With the traditional prayer of consecration uttered by the bishop and giving of the ring signifying total surrender to the divine master for the rest of their life, the two sisters were inducted to the Marian Congregation for the rest of their life. Prayer dance and songs were performed by CYA Porba and Zhavame, while folk song and special songs were presented by fathers and sisters of Marian Congregations of the Houses of Charity to felicitate the two sisters. Ceikunü, Pastor of Christians Revival Church (CRC) Porba, while speaking in occasion, congratulated Sr Rose and Esther for bringing name and fame to the village. Rev.
