DIMAPUR — Ahead of the ‘Nurturing Naga Peoplehood’ event being organised by the Naga Shisha Hoho (NSH) and the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) on the theme ‘Liberating the Naga Spirit’, the NSH has said that it is being conducted with the hope to “save the Naga people from the wrath of God and become a blessed people”.
Scheduled to be held at Naga Shisha Hoho Prayer Centre, Kutsapo, from February 16 to 18, it said in a press note that the prayer warriors are being called to attend because there are many different prayer groups and many prayer centres that pray for the people and the nation but are divided in their approach and intent.
It said that the church leaders have developed more interests in worldly affairs instead of being focused on the service of the Lord and that there are many Naga non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and civil society organisations (CSOs) today who are divided in their goals and focused more on their vested interests than the common good, which it said is further dividing Naga society.
“The NGOs and the CSOs are at the root of all the divisions in Naga society,” it said, adding that they should unite and selflessly work, support, and speak for the common good of the people and the nation.
Further, it said that the leaders of the Naga political groups are thoroughly divided, have less interest in the Naga cause and have more interest in acquiring personal riches. In regards to the state politicians, it said that they will be blessed with more authority if they rule in obedience to the Lord but not if they don’t.
“The Lord says that the sin of betrayal is shrouding all Nagas because when Nagas decided for self-determination, the National Movement began with betrayal,” it said and it appealed that Nagas should repent, get liberated from the sin and be blessed.
