Naga sculptor shines at art exhibition

Akup Buchemhu (second from right) along with other young artists from across the country at their art exhibition.[/caption] Dimapur, Feb. 18: H Akup Buchemhu, sculptor artist from Nagaland, along with 12 young artists from West Bengal, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Gujarat showcased their art collections at an art exhibition on the theme “Unfold Voyage” at Kanoria Gallery for Arts, Ahmedabad. The art exhibition, which began on February 16, will conclude on February 19. The sculptor artists were Abhishek Dodiya, Akup Buchemhu, Dipal Sisodia, Hasmukh Makwana, Ketul Gamit, Priyank Mistry, Raka Panda, Rutika Deshpande, Sangam Vankhade, Sumeshan K, Vinit Barot and Yogesh Kamble. “Unfold Voyage” is all about the journey and not the destination. ‘Unfold Voyage’ tells of a unique story where painters from different corners of India congregated at Ahmedabad and presented their aesthetics art form. ‘Everyone has come from different background yet everyone stands on a common ground of art. The excursion will reflect experiences with different people and things during the exhibition,’ said Akup Buchemhu. ‘We at unfold voyage will tell people to start experimenting with oneself without hesitation. Travelling is an inspiration, which helps us in exploring. Let us all come and join the unfold voyage to know the unknown of the art from the artist,’ Buchemhu added.
