DIMAPUR — The Naga Scholars’ Association (NSA), Delhi has condemned the recent “fratricidal killing” of four Naga cadres in Kamjong district, Manipur, as well as the subsequent incidents of mobs taking the law into their own hands.
In a press release, the association stated that at a critical juncture in the Naga political journey, such acts of internal violence are deeply unfortunate and undermine the collective aspirations, unity, and dignity of the Naga people.
“These developments risk eroding the foundations of trust, reconciliation, and shared purpose that remain essential for a peaceful and honourable resolution.
“While the grief and anger arising from such incidents are understandable, responses driven by retaliation and mob justice only aggravate divisions and prolong cycles of violence. There is an urgent need to resist emotional impulses that threaten to destabilise our society from within,” the NSA stated.

The association called upon all stakeholders to exercise restraint, uphold the rule of law, and allow for a fair, impartial, and time-bound investigation.
Those responsible must be held accountable through established principles of justice, it demanded.
“We stand in solidarity with the bereaved families and reiterate the need for truth, accountability, and healing. At this crucial moment, moral clarity, responsible leadership, and collective discipline are essential,” the NSA added.
The association further appealed to all sections of society to remain calm, act with reason, and reaffirm the shared commitment to peace, unity, and reconciliation.
