Dimapur, June 2 (EMN): Expressing concern over the firing and killing incident between the Naga nationalist groups on May 31, between Namsang and Sipini villages in Arunachal Pardesh, the Naga Scholars’ Association (NSA) has called the Naga nationalist groups to shun violence and strive towards peaceful environment and co-existence.
A press release from the association president and general secretary stated the incident as ‘anti-thetical to the ethos of the on-going peace process and the Nagas’ call for an honourable solution.’
The NSA said such incident could jeopardize towards achieving our common cherished goal.
The association also appealed for creation a congenial atmosphere in the course of the crucial engagement for a negotiated political settlement.
