My fellow countrymen,
Greetings to all in the name of the Almighty. On this historic day, I express my profound gratitude and salute the sacrifices of fallen heroes for our Naga cause. I extend my prayers to the familIes that have lost sons and daughters of the soil and I assure you that such act of selflessness will forever be inked in the pages of our Naga history for all times to come.
It was on this day, the 22nd of March 1956 when the Naga National Council became a full fleged Peoples' movement and as such, after many years of trials and tribulations, we now have come ever closer to the dawn of the long awaited solution.
I thank the NTC, NGBF, Tribal Hohos' and various other organisations for facilitating the path for an understanding Wherein the Government of India has recognised our Historical and Political rights to self determine our future in consonance with our distinct identity. The GOI and the WC, NNPG's have worked out on all modalities and talks have concluded on the 31st of October 2019.
What remains now is the final and official declaration by the GOI and as such, I urge the facilitators and Nagas to remain focused to the common greater good and be cautious of the evils that tries to derail and hijack our cause.
