DIMAPUR — Despite
a case being registered against him in October 2024 and an arrest warrant
issued shortly thereafter, former senior pastor Robert Kikon’s whereabouts
remain unknown.
Allegations of sexual misconduct against Kikon, who served as
the senior pastor of Father’s House Church (FHC) in Chümoukedima, came to light
after a letter dated September 19, 2024, from the church board announced his
resignation.
The letter stated that his “immoral acts” had been uncovered
and declared that Kikon “will no longer be serving in any capacity of the
church nor is he to represent us in any manner.”
By October 3, 2024, the Social Welfare department, which was
investigating the matter, declined to provide details, citing the ongoing
nature of the case.
Officials, however, assured the public that the
investigation was active and that “everything will come to light” within a few
days.
On October 5, FHC formally filed a First Information Report
(FIR) against Kikon, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant.
This was confirmed by Chümoukedima Deputy Commissioner of
Police (DCP) Watichuchang Jamir.
Sources revealed that Kikon had allegedly withdrawn all the
money from his bank account before disappearing.
While there is speculation that he fled abroad before the
FIR was lodged, authorities have yet to confirm his location.
As of January 12, three months after the arrest warrant was
issued, Kikon remains untraceable, with no significant breakthroughs in the
investigations.
