DIMAPUR — The Naga People's Front (NPF) has expressed grief over the demise of Naga National Council (NNC) president Adinno Phizo, describing her as a “towering figure and a strong custodian of Naga political history”.
“As the daughter of our great leader A.Z. Phizo and as President of NNC, she dedicated her entire life for the Naga cause with unwavering commitment and principle,” read the party’s condolence message.
“In her demise, the Nagas have lost a motherly figure and a true nationalist leader. Her contributions and sacrifices for the Naga people will always be remembered,” it added.
The party also conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members, relatives, and members of the NNC.
“We pray to Almighty God to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength and solace to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss,” it added.
