- DIMAPUR — In
another development pertaining to the Indo-Naga political issue, the collective
leadership of Naga National Political Alliance (NNPA) has resolved to jointly
pursue political dialogue with the Government of India.
- The resolution to this effect was taken during a meeting of
NNPA collective leadership held on February 25. The house has resolved to
solidify and strengthen the alliance, while engaging in a thorough deliberation
on the prevailing political landscape, which has left the Naga people in a
state of uncertainty and anticipation.
- “As part of the initiative, NNPA has decided to present its
own charter of demands, ensuring that the aspirations of the Naga people are
safeguarded within an inclusive solution,” the statement read.
- Recognising the need for a unified and constructive
engagement, the collective leadership of the NNPA has reaffirmed its commitment
to the alliance and resolved to jointly pursue political dialogue with the
Government of India.
- At his crucial junction as the Nagas are yearning for an
amicable and honourable solution to the long-standing political issue, it
stated that NNPA remains committed to facilitating progress towards an
inclusive and sustainable solution.
- The NNPA places its trust in the sincerity of the Government
of India to acknowledge and engage with this approach in good faith. The
alliance remains steadfast in its pursuit of an equitable and comprehensive
solution that respects the rights and interests of all the stakeholders.
