DIMAPUR — The Naga National Council (Parent Body) led by its president
Yilow Humtsoe, vice president Helimong Yimkhiung and general secretary V Nagi
has supported and welcomed the stand of the Naga Hoho on sovereignty as the
"heart and soul" and the entire inhabited lands of the Nagas not by
"circumstances but by blood."
Stating that the present leadership of the Naga Hoho is
crystal clear about Naga sovereignty and the homeland, the NNC (PB) press
release through its information and publicity wing has extended unflinching
support to the stand and resolutions of the Naga Hoho.
NNC (PB) also recognised the genuine concern of the Naga
Hoho for the unity of all the Naga national political groups and civil society
organisations. In this regard, it urged the Naga Hoho as the right and main
body to convene an urgent meeting of all the NNPGs and CSOs to thoroughly
discuss and thrash out the differences and workout a common political strategy
to resolve and settle the long political problem of the Naga people as a whole
for the best interest of all concerned in the region.
