Dimapur, Sep. 23: Three fighters training out of The Combat Academy Nagaland won against fighters from outside the state in the recently concluded X1 International Mixed Martial Arts MMA event which was held on Sep. 22-23 in Shillong.
In the bantamweight division (61.3kg) Mairidin Newmai beat Purushottam Prabhakar from Mumbai in via submission (rear naked choke) at 2:30 minutes of round 1.
Arsenba Ozukum beat Bibet Warjri from Shillong in their flyweight division (57kg) bout via submission (rear naked choke) at 1:19 minutes of round 1.
In the featherweight division (65.7kg) Kekhrieneitso Angami beat Winner Talang from Shillong via submission (rear naked choke) at 1:43 minutes of round 1.
Matsung Ozukum lost to Carnold Marboh from Shillong in their Flyweight division (57kg) bout via majority decision.
