Dimapur, Jan. 25 (EMN): The Naga Hoho has clarified that it has never been a part of the 100 years celebration of Naga Club and “we have remain silent without any participation nor issued any statement for or against either the NSF or the Naga Club over the legitimacy of centenary celebration.”
This was contained in a rejoinder to the allegation from Dr. H Hotokhu Chishi that the Naga Hoho was not concerned about Naga history. Chishi made the allegation at a function in Dimapur on Jan. 24.
“We have never fought against anybody for the establishment of Naga Club. Such allegation is unfounded and there is no justification to assert that the Naga Hoho is not interested in Naga history which was uttered in a wrong place at the wrong function. One needs to thoroughly understand the dynamics of the activities of every civil society in the state before making any statement,” it stated.
