Dimapur, February 23
A goodwill team of Naga Hoho, after visiting Kiphire, Pungro and Shamator on February 18 and 19, comprising Vice President, HK Zhimomi, Speaker Medoselhuo Keretsii Finance Secretary Ruungutuo Sechii and Secretary Aministration Chitho Nyusou appealed both the concerned tribes to exhibit maximum restraint from hurting one another.
While vehemently condemning the killing of Late Alemba and Late Naro on February 6 and the destruction which took place at Kiphire, the Naga Hoho Secretary Administration, Chitho Nyusou in a press note urged the state government to speed up the investigation into the killing and deliver the relief and rehabilitation materials to the displaced people at Pungro without any further delay.
The Hoho fervently appealed all the stakeholders not to take the incident on tribal line as Nagas don’t subscribe to killing in whichever form.
While acknowledging the long pending issue between the two brothers, Hoho urged the government to deliver a lasting solution and not just a piece meal packages.
“The Naga Hoho is simply stunt by the lackadaisical system of investigating agencies in Nagaland.”
While condemning the killings in whichever form by any NPGs, gangs, goons or that of paramilitary, the Hoho appealed to all citizens to refrain from killings and taking law into own hand. “The investigation agencies of Nagaland state government looking into the killings of Late Ritika Mehta, Late Charlie Hangshing and late Alemba and Late Naro are requested to further give more efforts in booking the culprits and thereby delivering justice to the victims at the earliest.”
