Dimapur, Nov. 9 (EMN): The Naga Hoho has expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident that happened on November 7 due to land dispute between Lamhainamdi and Kiyevi villages and suggested resolving the issue “amicably through Nagas traditional way”.
“The Naga Hoho strongly believes that, any dispute can be mutually resolved through peaceful means. Through violence, there is no means to resolve any differences but only leads to further destructions and loss of lives,” read the press statement.
It appealed to both the groups to let good understanding prevail in a Christian principle and restore a cordial relationship.
“At a time when every Naga is awaiting for a peaceful political solution, there should be no misunderstanding or hatred among the family members, rather strengthen the bond of brotherhood,” it stated.
The Hoho went on to call upon the state government to immediately initiate dialogue with the two confronting parties and resolve the issue peacefully. “There should not be further recurrence of such unwanted situation in the future,” it continued.
