DIMAPUR — Darters from Nagaland excelled at two major darts tournaments – 22nd national tournament at Varanasi and 10th BRC Summer Darts Open Championship.
Around 150 darters from all over the country participated at the 22nd National tournament, organised by the All India Darts Association (AIDA), in Varanasi from July 19 to 21st, the Nagaland Darts Association informed in an update.
Two darters from Nagaland, Limatoshi and Burakum Ao, walked away with a couple of trophies despite their late arrival at the tournament because of flight cancellations due to Microsoft outage.
Limatoshi won the Police Cup and was selected to represent India at The Game of Heroes - World Police and Fire Game to be held in Birmingham, Alabama in 2025. He also stood third position in the men's single and made it to the probable India team to participate at Asia -Pacific Cup, Chinese Taipei from Nov. 2 to the 7th. Burakum Ao stood second in the Masters category.
Meanwhile, another 13 darters from Nagaland participated at 10th BRC Summer Darts Open Championship, from July 17 to the 21st in Kolkata. The championship was organised by The Bengal Rowing Club in collaboration with the Indian Darts Council.

Open Doubles’ Champions: Vikehelie Suohu and Aryaveer Chokhani
Open Doubles Runners-Up: Joshua Semou and Sangam Roy
Draw Doubles Champions: Joshua Semou and Jal Bhavsar
Indian Darts League Team Event: Oto Angami of Team Rockers (runners- up) and Kevichüzo Zumvü of ILS Dart Raiders (Joint Third)
BRC Silver Plate: Kelhousatuo Yiese (runner up).
Most Promising Player: Joshua Semou
Most Promising Player (Veteran): Simon Kelio
