Dimapur, Aug. 8: The Karnataka Premier League (KPL) franchise team Bengaluru Blasters have named Naga cricketer Jonathan Rongsen as its captain for this year’s edition of the KPL.
The 32-year-old right-hand batsman was declared skipper on the Blasters’ various social media platforms on Thursday.

At the recent KPL auction, Rongsen was the bone of contention between Mysuru Warriors, Bijapur Bulls and Bengaluru Blasters.

He was eventually swooped up by the Blasters camp, who doled out INR 6 lakh for his good run of for Nagaland — making him the third most expensive player of the KPL this year.

In 2016, he drew the highest bid of INR 3.5 lakh at the KPL auction.
