Dimapur, Oct. 21 (EMN): The controversy over the proposed celebration of the Naga Club’s centenary year refuses to die down even as the ‘Naga Club’ on Sunday disputed claims made by the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) that the former had been ‘defunct for many years.’
A statement from the club on Sunday refuted that its planned commemoration was not limited only to the residents of Nagaland. “The Naga Club has never been defunct as was alleged by the NSF. During the Indo-Naga conflict, the Naga Club was lying low due to obvious political reasons, but its members were very much alive and active,” it stated.
