DIMAPUR, APRIL 14
To shoppers, the infamously haughty and demanding attitude of Naga businesses and shops is not a secret. They ned to learn a lot from the non-Naga business establishments, they have been told.
The ‘Indian Terrain’ an exclusive showroom of men’s apparel and accessories opened on Thursday at Dimapur.
The showroom is located near Popular Bakery. The president of the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Hokivi Chishi, was the chief guest of the event.
During the inaugural programme, Hokivi Chishi spoke about the acceptable ways to satisfying the buyer which, he said, was one of the ‘main issues’ facing the business community of Nagaland.
He said that the Naga business community should learn from the non-Naga business community.
The non-Naga community focuses only on customers’ satisfaction and proper treatment of customers when they come to buy products, he said.
Chishi also said owners should educate salespersons and train them how to please customers and clients.
Businesses depend on customers for success, he reminded. The proprietor of the new opened showroom is GK Rengma.
The showroom was dedicated by the pastor of Dimapur Rengma Baptist Church, Tenga Seb.
Anti-corruption activist Joel Kath presided over the small program which marked the inauguration.
