Naga boys selected to undergo training at AIFF Academy

EMN Dimapur, January 2 Three Naga boys from State Sports Academy, Dimapur have been selected to undergo final selection trials for the 2017 U-17 FIFA World Cup Indian squad at All India Football Federation Academy (AIFF Academy) in Goa. The players, namely, Nighato, Vikethozo and Tokavi were spotted during the 2014 Subroto Cup International Football Tournament in New Delhi, which they went on to lift the champions title. The players will leave for Goa from Guwahati on January 5. State football coach Mughato, under whose care the boys have been groomed, is hopeful that the boys will be selected for further training. He also expressed gratitude to department of Youth Resources and Sports for sponsoring the fight tickets of the selected players.
