Mokokchung is gearing up for yet another entertaining evening of ‘music, fashion, dance, comedy and surprising cuisines’ as the event management team ITTN is coming up with an event called ‘Confluence’ where artistes from different genres will be sharing a stage on June 16, at Mokokchung Town Hall.
The event is said to be first of its kind where artists from the state will come together and share stage with various renowned Naga artists.
Highlighting about the event in a press conference today at The Restaurant, the event convener Imlibenla Wati (Miss Asia Pacific Super Talent India 2016), informed that artists who will be performing on the night are: Moanungsang (First Naga Idol 2006), Alobo Naga (Internationally renowned Singer), Tiameren Jamir (Gospel Singer), Samaro (Ao Gospel Band), Wabang Longkumer (Naga Orpheus Hunt 2012), Limayanger (Runner-up Naga Orpheus Hunt 2014), Hopong Naga (Up-coming stand-up comedian), Ramokla (a Leading Fashion Designer) with her elegant models, Imye Longkumer (Country Singer), Soul Sisters (up-coming girls band) and the versatile dance crew PopCornz.
The beauty queen also remarked that the organisers are planning to give something new to the town and expressed hope that artistes will also come up with something new. She also solicited the support and cooperation of the Mokokchung citizens in promoting the local talents so that they can go on to achieve greater heights in the days to come.
The show directors of the event are Opang Jamir (Super Model) and Adang Jamir (Choreographer) with Senti as the official photographer from Dimapur.
Chief guest for the event will be Kriehu Liezietsu, former Parliamentary Secretary for Youth Resources and Sports and State Lotteries and Music Task Force with Brigadier MS Sidhu Commander 7 Sector AR as guest of honour and Rebecca Changkija, a well known film & Director as special guest.
