NACHO marks first anniversary

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Association of Community Health Officers (NACHO) celebrated its first anniversary and held its annual general meeting on Tuesday at Iwu Shi Garden in Dimapur.

According to a press release, the event was attended by community health officers (CHOs) from all over the state, including Dr. Antoly Swu, Deputy CMO of Dimapur.

Speaking on the occasion, Swu expressed her appreciation for the hard work and dedication shown by the CHOs and stated that CHOs are the backbone of healthcare in the state.

Yingngam Konyak, CHO from T/Chingha HWC, spoke at the event about some of the challenges faced by health officers working in the interior districts. She highlighted issues such as limited resources, inadequate infrastructure, and difficulties in reaching remote areas.

Despite these challenges, Konyak shared some remarkable accomplishments by CHOs in providing healthcare services to underserved communities.

The NACHO anniversary celebration allowed health officers to come together and share their experiences. It provided a forum for them to discuss strategies for overcoming challenges and improving healthcare delivery in Nagaland.

The event concluded with a renewed commitment from all CHOs present to continue working towards their goal of providing accessible and quality healthcare services to the people of Nagaland.
