Dimapur, April 18 (EMN): The Peer Team of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, University Grants Commission, visited Kohima Science College, in Jotsoma, near Kohima town, during April 11-12 for the second cycle of assessment of the college.
The coordinator of the NAAC Steering Committee of Kohima Science College Dr Sanjay Sharma issued a brief press release on Tuesday informing about the visit of the Peer Teem.
“The three-member Peer Team was led by Prof Mohammad Raziuddin, former Pro VC, Ranchi University, Jharkhand, as Chairperson, Prof K.N. Guruprasad, School of Life Sciences, Devi Ahilaya Viswa Vidhyalaya, Indore, Madhya Pradesh,Member Co-ordinator and Dr Gourang Chandra Mohanty, Former Principal, Khallikote College (Autonomous), Odisha, Member,” the updates said.
During their two-day visit, they are said to have visited various facilities of the college “to validate what the college has written in its Self Study Report.”
Besides having intensive meetings with the principal, IQAC members, teachers, staff and students, they also met with officials of the Higher Education department, the governing body, Nagaland University representatives, alumni association, and the Parents-Teachers Association.
“The visit ended with the exit meeting where their confidential report was handed over to the principal,” the press release stated.
