NAAC peer team visits C-Edge College

[caption id="attachment_139324" align="alignleft" width="550"] NAAC peer team handing over the report to the College principal and IQAC coordinator during the exit meeting on September 13.[/caption] Dimapur, Sep. 16 (EMN): With the purpose to assess for accreditation of the college, peer team of the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous body under the University Grants Commission (UGC), visited C-Edge College on September 12 and 13. The three-member peer team included Prof. Bhatnagar BP, former Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University as the chairperson; Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Department of Political Science from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, as the team coordinator; and Dr. KE Radhakrishna, former Principal of Surana College, Bangalore.The two-day visit comprised of interactions with the principal, IQAC, all the departments, teaching and non-teaching staff, students, members of the Board of Governors, alumni, parents and all the other stakeholders. The team also visited the various facilities and support services of the college in which documentation and verification of various activities and programmes were carried out. The two-day visit ended with the exit meeting on September 13 in which the college principal, Dr. Chubatola Aier, delivered the welcome speech. She mentioned that applying for NAAC Assessment and Accreditation was one of the main goals of the college since its inception as it believed in such process for quality education. During the exit meeting, the team chairperson, Prof. Bhatnagar BP, highlighted on some certain areas where the College can work toward for improvement. He thanked his team for the hard work put in towards preparing the report which was later handed over the principal. Delivering the vote of thanks, Wapanginla Ao, IQAC coordinator of the college, expressed gratitude to the team members for their sincere and effective evaluations during the visit. She also thanked the entire stakeholders of the college for their continuous support and dedication, the Nagaland University, Department of Higher Education, BoG members, students, alumni, guests invitees and especially to the NAAC, Bangalore, for their swift, efficient and supportive process from submission of LoI to the visit.
