DIMAPUR — The
Mima Youth Organisation (MYO) is conducting its 50th games and sports meet
(Golden jubilee) from Jan. 13 to the 17th at Mima village local ground, Kohima
district.
The five-day sports meet will comprise of events such as
cultural and traditional games, athletics, track and field, football,
volleyball and Naga wrestling, the MYO stated in an update.
Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture,
Salhoutuonuo Kruse will be the chief guest for opening ceremony-cum cultural
day.
Vizoto Seletsu, executive engineer, Tourism department; Roko
Angami, OSD (Sports) of Youth Resources and Sports and Peteneilhou Tepa, OSD to
minister of Power and Parliamentary Affairs, are the event patrons.
On Jan. 17, Kevipodi Sophie, MLA, will be the guest of
honour for Naga wrestling.
The guest of honour will also lay the foundation stone for a
new playground at Phiesazhü, Mima.
