Dimapur, Aug. 28 (EMN): The Marwari Yuva Manch Dimapur Shikhar (MYMDS) in association with All India Marwari Yuva Manch organised a cyclothon rally in Dimapur on Sunday morning.
According to an update, advisor, Power department, H Tovihoto Ayemi, flagged-off the rally at Marwari Patti.
The event was organised to commemorate the 117th birth anniversary of hockey legend Maj. Dhyan Chand and also to promote the use of bicycles in everyday life for health and environmental benefits.
Addressing the gathering of youths, school and college students and sports enthusiasts, Tovihoto said Maj. Dhyan Chand was one of the greatest hockey players India has ever produced and paid tribute to the hockey wizard.
