A prayer (DUA) programme was organised by the Muslim Council Dimapur for the intending Muslims from Nagaland who are going for Haj Pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia this year.
Altogether sixteen candidates including two women have been felicitated and prayer for their successful Holy tour was held at old Jame Masjid, Hazi Park, Dimapur.
MCD advisor, A.Hadi Tapadar his wife and MCD office bearer Abu Tanvir Chaudhury are also among the pilgrims.
The programme was chaired by MCD working President, A. Rahman, Moulana Rashid Ahmed, Mahmod Quassimi and Ashfaq Ahmed cited the religious significance of the Haj Pilgrimage which is mandatory for every affordable Muslims. Others including A. Hannan Tapadar who is a member from Nagaland in the North East Haj Committee, Advocate Sharuf Ahmed and J.A Talukdar spoke on the occasion.
Alhaj A. Hadi Tafadar performed the duo on behalf of the pilgrimage delegation. The Nagaland delegation is leaving for Saudi Arabia from Gauhati on September 8.
