Musik-A organises children’s musical ‘Annie’ in Dimapur featuring more than 250 talented students.

DIMAPUR — Musik-A successfully presented its ambitious production of ‘Annie,’ a Broadway-style musical performance that featured over 250 talented students aged mostly between 3 and 12 years, at the Dimapur Town Hall.
An update from Musik-A stated that the event, moderated by Valiant Khieya, began with an invocation prayer said by Rev. Dr. N Lipok Jamir, pastor of the Diphupar Ao Baptist Church, followed by a rendition of the National Anthem by the young students.
In his welcome address, Alobo Naga, the director of Creative Vision at Musik-A, shared insights into the months of preparation that started in May 2025. He explained the vision behind selecting a Broadway musical for this year, marking a new creative chapter for the school.
The musical was directed by the award-winning director Bendang Walling along with an assistant. It stated that director Bubu Sechü beautifully brought to life the beloved story of Annie, a courageous young orphan in 1930s New York City, whose hope and optimism led her from hardship to a loving home with billionaire Oliver Warbucks. The production celebrated themes of resilience, love, and the enduring belief that "the sun will come out tomorrow."

It stated that the audience enjoyed an unforgettable performance filled with heart, humour and inspiration from the opening scene to the final curtain.
The flawless show was attributed to 30 dedicated teachers from Musik-A, supported by set designer Limanungdang Ao, light designer Bikash Duwara, choreographers Rup and Ruby and sound designer, Kibulong Imsong. It added that audience members have praised both the young performers and the production team for their outstanding efforts.
It mentioned that the success of ‘Annie’ demonstrated Musik-A's commitment to nurturing young artistes and enhancing the standard of performing arts in Nagaland. It added that the production not only showcased the extraordinary potential of children but also celebrated the spirit of teamwork, faith and artistic excellence.
