Musicians from different corners of Peren district congregated in Peren Town Hall and shared common platform to spread the gospel of oneness through the universal language - music - on the occasion of World Music Day on June 21.
The occasion was hosted by Peren District Music Society (PDMS), which for the first time brough different artistes under one platform. The programme was graced by Haigam Kauring, president of NPF Peren division as special guest.
Artistes from different corners of the district took part in the programme and enthralled the jam-packed hall with solos, duets, guitar recitals, piano recitals, folk songs, while bands belted out numbers at their best.
The young talents and music enthusiasts were much encouraged by the good turnout of not only the youth but even the aged people.The grand programme winded up with an old time favorite number from the Beatles ‘Let it be’ presented by the Peren District Music Society members.
Meanwhile, PDMS expressed gratitude to all the participants and all the persons who took pain in organising the programme. The society in particular has expressed gratitude to Haigam Kauring for gracing the programme as special guest and for his generous contribution.
